Named the cause of LeBron James’ 18-year-old son’s cardiac arrest

The cause of cardiac arrest in the son of a quadruple NBA champion james lebron Bronnie has a congenital heart defect, a spokesperson for the 18-year-old basketball player’s family said.

The incident happened July 25 at the University of California during a home team practice. Medical staff helped Bronnie James and took him to hospital. Later it was learned that the 18-year-old basketball player had been discharged from the intensive care unit and was in stable condition.

“A comprehensive examination revealed the probable cause of the cardiac arrest: it is an anatomically and functionally significant heart defect that can be treated.

We are confident that Bronnie will make a full recovery and return to basketball in the near future. We will continue to keep the media informed of his condition and ask that the privacy of the James family be respected,” the Washington Post quoted a statement from the LeBron James Family Foundation.

LeBron James is the leading scorer in NBA regular season and playoff history. He also won the league four times, was recognized as the best player in the regular season and the most valuable basketball player in the playoff finals. As a member of Team USA, James won two Olympic gold medals.
