Big win for Georgia in their World Cup debut

Georgia and Cape Verde made their first appearance in history at a FIBA​​​​​​World Cup, with the Georgians winning. The match was played at the Okinawa Arena in Japan and ended 85-60.

Four players from the winning team reached double-digit scoring. Among them, Goga Bitadze stood up with a double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
