The best basketball leagues in the world had their gala night where franchises were ‘rejuvenated’ by new talent from the NCAA, the G-League or abroad. Find out how the 58 picks went.
The gala was held 2022 NBA Draft nasa Barclay’s Center from New York and there was a surprise in the first selection of the night. Orlando Magicin the first selection of the series, chose Paolo Banchero and not the favorite Jabari Smith Jr.., positioned third and taken by Houston Rockets. Chet Holmgren left with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The 2022 NBA Draft left the biggest surprise in the first selection. All assumptions are Jabari Smith Jr. the first choice of the night or Chet Holmgren fighting for that position. Orlando’s chances of joining Paolo Banchero were very low, but they did.
The Los Angeles Lakers, in position 35, selected Scotty Pippen Jr., son of Scottie Pippen.
