Captain CSKA Nikita Kurbanov told the details of the negotiations with the army basketball club regarding his contract.
In July, Kurbanov signed a new contract with CSKA. The deal with the 36-year-old striker is for one year.
– You only signed a new contract with CSKA in mid-July. Why was the issue resolved so late?
“Well, because it’s a process determined by agreements. Some adjustments are still needed here. It takes time. Also, as I have already noted, most of the composition has changed. And first of all, the club resolved these issues. I am therefore not particularly attached to these dates: June, July or August. The main thing is that this process continues.
– When did you realize that you were staying at CSKA?
– Probably, when we moved to another stage of the decision. In other words, an offer followed and a response followed. In principle, this process did not take long. Yet, as we were all exhaling after the season, breathing, the same time passed,” Kurbanov told correspondent.
