Cape Verde beat Venezuela, Slovenia did their thing against Georgia and Group F will determine their qualifiers on the final date. The African team faced the red wine and beat it 81-75. In Cape Verde, Joao Gomes with 22 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist along with William Tavares who scored 20 baskets, 2 boards and 3 goal passes were the highlights. In addition, Real Madrid player Eddy Tavares registered 14 rebounds and 6 goals.
On the Latin Americans side, scoring was shared between Cubillan, Zamora and Sojo, who scored 42 of the team’s 75 points. Fernando Duró’s side are now in a tight spot as they know they need to beat Georgia by 15 points next date if they want to progress to the second round.
Georgia 67 – 88 Slovenia
Slovenia and Georgia closed out the group two with a Slovenian victory. It is not surprising to say that Luka Doncic is the figure, the NBA player recorded 34 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists, accompanied by Prepelic and his 15 points and 4 rebounds. Sandro Mamukelashvili was one of the best of the Georgians with 21 points and 7 rebounds. In these results, Slovenia is 2-0, Georgia and Cape Verde 1-1 and Venezuela 0-2. For the next day, Venezuela will face Georgia next Wednesday at 5 am while Slovenia will meet Cape Verde on the same day at 8:30.
