Germany closes the first stage past Finland

From start to finish, playing their entire roster and reducing Finland to its worst version, that’s how Germany closed out their first period.

The 101-75 victory at the Okinawa Arena was another piece of information for Gordie Herbert’s team, which confirmed its candidate badge and sealed the classification with a 3-0 record in this first period.

With the exception of Franz Wagner who did not play due to his ankle injury, and is still a concern, all other players saw action and scored points. With 15 for Isaac Bonga and Dennis Schröder, 13 for Johannes Thiemann, 12 for Moe Wagner and 11 for Andreas Obst, the Teutonic cast overcame one of the biggest disappointments of this World Cup.

Why did Finland fail? 0-3 record after becoming the first team to qualify for the World Cup. He comes with familiar names, but few Markkanen and Salin can hold their own in all their encounters.
