The Ukrainian will spend another season in the NBA
Ukrainian defender Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk remains in NBA. The defender agreed to a one-year contract with Boston Celtics.
In the summer, several European clubs were interested in Mikhailyuk, including the Greek Panathinaikos and Olympiacos, the Italian Olympia Milan and Virtus Bologna, and the Spanish Real. Also, the Ukrainian could be in Miami Heat.
In February 2023, Mykhailiuk joined the Charlotte Hornets. The Ukrainian became part of an exchange between the Portland Trail Blazers, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Hornets.
In the 2022/23 season, Mikhailyuk played 19 matches for Charlotte. The defender averaged 10.6 points and 2.7 assists per game.
In the NBA, Mikhailyuk also played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Detroit Pistons, Oklahoma City Thunder, Toronto Raptors, and New York Knicks.
Ukraine in the NBA is represented by Oleksiy Len, who plays for the Sacramento Kings. Also, Dmitry Skapintsev can get into the New York Knicks squad for the new season.
Last season, Boston reached the semi-finals of the NBA playoffs, where they lost to Miami (score in the series – 3:4). The new NBA season starts on the night of October 24-25.
