Despite not having their top star, Kristaps Porzingis, they shined once again; as they did against France, and beat another top contender for the title. Tracking the difference against 12, and scoring at key moments they beat Spain 74 to 69.
With this result, the Latvians are left with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss, looking to qualify against Brazil in the next round. Spain, for their part, have the same record, but will be forced to beat a very difficult Canada if they are to keep their hopes of repeating the title alive.
