The Ukrainians won three quarters, but failed the final segment of the game
Men’s national basketball team of Ukraine lost Portugal in the second friendly match at the training camp in the Portuguese city of Viana do Castelo.
Ainars Bagatskis’ team won three quarters and led by 12 points before the final stretch of the game. However, the Ukrainians failed to keep the winning score.
Ukraine scored only eight points in the fourth 10-minute period and suffered a minimal defeat – 76:77.
In the first sparring at the training camp in Portugal, the Bagatskis team beat Slovakia – 75:61. Tomorrow, June 26, Ukraine will return to Riga, where it will hold the final stage of preparation for the 2023 World Cup qualifiers.
In the capital of Latvia, Ukraine will play two nominally home qualifying matches against Georgia (July 1) and Spain (July 7). On July 4, the blue-yellows will play away with North Macedonia.
