National team UNITED STATES won the basketball team Italy in the quarter-final match of the World Cup hosted by Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines.
The match in Manila ended with a score of 100:63 (24:14, 22:10, 37:20, 17:19). Mikal Bridges scored 24 points for the American team, while Simone Fontecchio scored 18 points for the Italians.
To reach the final, the Americans will meet the winner of the match between the national teams of Germany and Latvia.
In the other quarter-final, the Serbian team beat the Lithuanian team – 87:68 (24:25, 25:13, 24:17, 14:13). The Serbs will face the best team of the Canada-Slovenia pair in the semi-finals.
