American basketball players failed to reach the World Cup final for the second time in a row

Athletistic/Basketball. For the second time in a row, the USA men’s basketball team failed to reach the World Cup final. This happened in the current World Cup, which takes place simultaneously in three countries: Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines. Team USA reached the semifinals, where they lost to Team Germany with a score of 111:113. The Americans will battle for the bronze medal against Team Canada in a match scheduled for September 10.

Interestingly, before this incident, the American team had won the trophy twice in a row – in 2010 and 2014. In 2010, the American team beat the Turkish team with a score of 81:64, and Kevin Durant became the tournament’s most valuable player. In the 2014 final, the Americans beat the Serbian national team with a score of 129:92, and Kyrie Irving became the MVP of this tournament.
