Svyat will help the national team in the upcoming qualifying matches for the 2023 World Cup
Toronto quarterback Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk arrived at the location national team of Ukraine to prepare for the July qualifying matches World Cup 2023.
Today, the 25-year-old basketball player had his first training session with the team at the training camp in Riga.
Last NBA season, Mikhailuk averaged 4.6 points in 12.8 minutes on the court.
Next month Ukraine will play against Georgia (July 1), North Macedonia (July 4) and Spain (July 7). Nominally, Ukrainians will play home matches with Georgia and Spain in Riga.
With one win in three matches, Ukraine is third in the qualifying group. The top three teams from each group will advance to the next round of selection.
In August, another legionnaire from the NBA, Sacramento center Oleksiy Len, should come to the location of the Ukrainian national team.
