The Argentine started everything in the Interleague

Closing the first day of the international tournament, Regatas defeated Caxias Do Sul

The first day closed with the fourth victory of National League teams against NBB members in the Interleague. Regatas, who did not waste the home field advantage, beat Caxias do Sul at the José Jorge Contte Stadium. Those led by Fernando Calvi had less, and celebrated the 73-68 victory with their people.

Undoubtedly, this last match is another clear example of the equality that this competition has shown. The teams barely took advantage of each other head-to-head and performed individual tasks to achieve their advantages. The rowers found a good ally in the three-point shot at important moments, although from the free kicks they complicated the match a little more than necessary in some passages.

The figures of the night:

Regatas had four main pillars to victory over Caxias. Alejandro Diez picks up where he left off at the end of last season. He finished 5/5 on field goals, for a total of 15 points and 5 rebounds on his personal scoresheet. Xavier Carreras reached a double double with 14 points and 8 rebounds, while Franco Vieta, who also has 14 to his name, contributed 6 assists. Poker was completed by Facundo Piñero, who delivered and finished with 14 points and 5 boards.

At Caxias there was good work from Argentine Alejandro Konsztadt, who joined the team a few days ago. The former Atenas player was the team’s leading scorer, with 13 points (with 4/5 on doubles, 1/6 on triples and 2/2 from the free throw line), 1 rebound and 4 assists in 17 minutes in court.
