Turkish club “Besiktas” beat the Russian UNICS in the semi-finals for places 5 to 8 of the VTB United League Super Cup.
The Istanbul team won on Saturday with a score of 75:68 (17:20, 20:15, 18:15, 20:18). The most productive player of the match was Besiktas’ Derek Needham, who scored 18 points.
Now the Turkish team will have to play with CSKA in the match for 5th place in the tournament, UNICS will compete for 7th place with the MBA club from Moscow.
The VTB United League Super Cup will end on September 24. The current winner of the competition is Zenit.
