Kazansky UNICS signed a one-year contract with the 27-year-old defender of the Russian national team Mikhail Kulagin according to the basketball club’s website.
Last season, 27-year-old Kulagin played for Nizhny Novgorod. In 20 VTB United League championship games, the basketball player scored 9.3 points, adding 2.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists in 24.5 minutes on the court. In five Champions League games, the defender brought the team an average of 12 points, 2.8 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 27 minutes of playing time.
In 2018 and 2021, the UNICS rookie played in the United League All-Star Game as part of the Russian Stars team.
