Portland legend moves to new team after best season of career

Defender Damian Lillardplayed for 11 years Portland Trail Blazerswill continue his career in Milwaukee Bucks.

As a result of the high-profile trade, Portland will receive:

  • Three players – Jrue Holiday, DeAndre Ayton and Toumani Kamara;
  • Milwaukee’s unprotected 2029 first-round draft pick;
  • Possibility of trading unprotected picks with the Bucks in 2028 and 2030.

Lillard, 33, played 769 NBA games for Portland. Last season, he averaged a career-high 32.2 points per game.

Let us remember that earlier there was talk about Damian moving to the Miami Heat. Under certain conditions, Ukrainian Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk could become his teammate.

In the 2022-23 season, Portland finished 13th in the Western Conference. Milwaukee became the strongest in the East, but was eliminated by Miami in the first round of the playoffs. The new NBA season starts on October 24.
