The Chicago Bulls point guard has not been on the court since January 2022 and will only be able to play again in the 2024/25 season; Even so, the player is confident that he will play for the NBA again
The shipowner Lonzo Ballof Chicago Bulls, remains confident that he will play again, even with the series of surgeries he has had on his knee, which hinder his promising career. Last Monday, the 2nd, the player attended the ‘Media Day’ of the franchise in uniform and spoke about his future, leaving aside the negative comments from people who no longer believe in his recovery.
“I definitely plan to play again. I’m only 25 years old and I feel like the rehabilitation process is going well so far. No setbacks. So for me, it’s just about keeping my head up, keep doing the work.”, said the player. Ball had his third knee surgery in March, this time it was a cartilage transplant. The point guard was unable to run or jump after his second operation. The last time he was on the court was on January 14, 2022, missing the entire 2022/23 season and will only return, if everything goes well, in 2024/25.
Furthermore, Lonzo stated that he is “halfway through” the rehabilitation process. “I’m feeling really good. Probably halfway through the rehab process. I still have a long way to go. But every week I have made progress. I’m just trying to stay positive and take it day by day. The rehabilitation has been long. It seems like every day is almost the same. I’m improving every week and that’s all I can ask for.”he completed.
