Toronto Raptors winger OG Anunoby sent a message to the veteran point guard wishing him a welcome days before the trade to the Bucks was made
On September 27th, Damian Lillard was changed from Portland Trail Blazers for the Milwaukee Bucks. However, days before, the 33-year-old point guard thought for a moment that he could have a completely different fate: Torontoat the Canada.
During an interview with “Bleach Report” released this Tuesday, 3rd, Damian said that winger OG Anunoby, from Toronto Raptorssent him a message on his cell phone welcoming him to the city, days before the exchange was finalized. “Everything was still up in the air and I had my phone out when I got a random text from OG, something like ‘Welcome to Toronto’”remembered.

Lillard revealed that he and the winger trained together during the ‘offseason’ and that Anunoby usually makes a lot of jokes, which is why he decided to call after the message. “Finally, I called him, he didn’t answer, but then he called me back and he was already laughing. I was, like, ‘Okay.’ He caught me off guard, but I knew it wouldn’t happen like that”he completed.
