New women’s basketball team will play at the Chase Center, home of the multi-champion Golden State Warriors, and will train in Oakland; name and visual identity are still to be defined
A WNBA There will be another team to compete for the title! But there are still discussions about the name, which could be Warriors.
2008 was the last time the WNBA expanded, when the Atlanta Dream was added. According to “ESPN”, the league should continue to grow, discussing a second new team, possibly in Portland. The San Francisco Bay Area is seen as a good choice because of the strong fan base for women’s basketball presented by teams from Stanford Universities and from California.
