After exchanging barbs on social media, Paul George opened up about his relationship with Devin Booker and says he doesn’t understand the origin of the friction
Paul Georgeof Los Angeles Clippersopened up about the disagreement with Devin Bookerof Phoenix Suns. Recently, the two showed that sparks still arise in the relationship between NBA players.
In an episode of George’s podcast, Klay Thompsonof Golden State Warriors, claimed regret for provoking Devin Booker in 2022, pointing out that he had four NBA championship rings. The excerpt from “Podcast P” was published on social media and received a comment from DB.
The Phoenix Suns guard commented with an emoji greeting Klay and then asked Paul George if that was the answer he was looking for, indicating that the Clippers player expected something more. The comment was deleted shortly after, but PG continued to respond.
This week, in an interview with Taylor Rooks, from Bleacher Report, Paul George commented on the disagreement: “I don’t know where this [briga] it happened. Things got heated when we played in Phoenix. The conversations came and ended. Again, this comes down to a line of respect.”said PG.
“Me and Devin were always good, he was my little brother when he came into the league. Then suddenly the temperature changed – you know, crossed the line. So now it is what it is at this moment.”added the player.
The Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard highlighted that Klay Thompson’s answer would be the same as his and that he only asked the Golden State Warriors player a question.
But then again, [Booker] took responsibility for being seen or heard at that moment. Cool. Now it is what it is,” PG added.
