Another victory for Platense at the Ciudad Stadium

Vicente Lóprez’s team shined against a lackluster Mercedes Communications.

The Cholo Vázquez team once again showed great strength at home. With plenty of attitude and a leading Pedro Ianguas, Calamar overcame Mercedes Communications with impressive authority, earning his second straight fall. Saavedra’s men, with 92 to 70, reached a record of three wins and one loss that puts them in the top positions in the standings.

It only took a few minutes for Platense to reveal his plans for the season. Starting with a very tight defense (something very characteristic of Cholo’s game), he started to add from a quick start. In this context, the role of Eric Flor was important, and from his play Brown began to run away from the scoreboard. The locals took advantage of irregularities and low effectiveness to escape to 15, only to continue to increase the distance in the second half. The intern Pedro Ianguas was another one of those who managed to shine in the offensive sector, which seemed to flow clearly impossible for Nardini’s men to solve. Finally, to the euphoria of their people, they won the battle with great strength.
