Kerr believes Chris Paul has what it takes to succeed with the Warriors

Multi-champion NBA coach praises the experienced point guard’s qualities and reveals how he can make a difference inside the franchise’s locker room

In a video shared last Friday, 13th, on the official channel of Golden State Warriors on YouTube, before the victory against Los Angeles Lakers for the preseason, the coach Steve Kerr revealed that the intelligence of the experienced shipowner Chris Paul will make a lot of difference for the franchise in the city of San Franciscoat California.

“Well, Chris is a very, very smart player. One of the smartest players I’ve ever seen, both as an opponent over the years and now this year during training. You just see intelligence from him. He is so attentive. He is so meticulous in every possession. Smart players tend to figure things out quickly, especially when they are playing with other smart players. So, I have no doubt that it will be a great option.”said Steve Kerr.

The coach also believes that the player’s experience can help him relate to the rest of the squad. “Chris is very vocal and excellent. We need it. I think most of our team is quiet, except for Draymond. But I think, frankly, Draymond needs another voice in that locker room. I think we’ve been at our best over the years when we’ve had veteran guys whose voices really sounded good in the locker room. Everyone is different, but Chris is very vocal, very intelligent, constantly asking questions about what we are doing in this or that case, and I think this team could use that at this stage.”said the multi-time champion.
