The legendary basketball player and famous football player starred in the epic Beats by Dre video.
Erling Haaland became an ambassador for Beats by Dre. After an impressive last season, the Norwegian striker has attracted the attention of many advertisers, including the manufacturer of the famous headphones.
“I am thrilled to join the Beats family, a brand that has long been a part of my pre-match routine as an athlete. Family is important to me and this campaign and partnership really speaks to that,” Erling was quoted as saying by Purpose.
In his first commercial for Beats by Dre, Manchester City forward Erling Holland teams up with Lakers star forward LeBron James.
The latter once signed a sponsorship contract with Beats Electronics: in exchange for popularizing the headphones, the 38-year-old basketball player received part of the company’s shares. In 2014, it earned $30 million after acquiring Apple.
The ad, titled “The King and the Viking,” features football and basketball players interacting with their families before the big game.
The video focuses on the expectations placed on professional athletes, and because of this, those at the top of their game, like Haaland and James, constantly have to prove their worth to people desperate to write them off.
The video also features Haaland’s father Alf-Inge and LeBron’s wife Savannah.
We remind you that Messi’s MLS salary was known earlier.
