NBA will return to old East x West format for All-Star Game

North American Basketball League announces that the original format, so loved by fans of the orange ball sport, will be resumed in this season’s edition

This Wednesday, 25th, the NBA announced that the All-Star Game will return to its original format Eastern Conference Against the Western Conference for the next edition, which takes place in Indianapolis. The change excludes the format of each team’s captains selecting their squads, which happened for six seasons.

The game will also be played again in four traditional 12-minute quarters, without a goal score. The voting process that selects 12 athletes from each conference remains the same, done through the public.

The match takes place on February 18, 2024, at Gainbridge Fieldhousemarried Indiana Pacers. It will be the 73rd All-Star Game played in the entire history of the North American basketball league and could once again attract the audience that began to drop out due to the format adopted in recent editions.
