In the Frenchman’s first match in league history, the San Antonio Spurs were beaten by the Dallas Mavericks at home; round featured many games
The second day of the 2023/24 NBA season was busy. Last Wednesday night, the 25th, featured the first match of the promise Victor Wembanyama in the league’s history. The debut, however, was with the defeat of San Antonio Spurs for the Dallas Mavericksby 126 to 119, at home.
The young Frenchman scored 15 points, five rebounds and two assists. Spurs’ highest scorer was Devin Vassellwith 23 points. Keldon Johnson recorded 17 points in the game, while Tre Jones16.
Luka Doncic was the highlight of the match. The Mavericks star ended the night with a triple-double: 33 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Kyrie Irving contributed 22 points and six assists. Grant Williams (17) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (17) also did well.
