Russian defender Alexei Shved announced on social networks his arrival in China, where he was welcomed by representatives of the Shanxi Lungs club.
The Swede posted a photo of how he and his family were greeted at the airport. The video was also published by the Chinese team’s press service on the social network Weibo.
“Warm welcome,” signed the basketball player on the photo.
The 34-year-old Shved’s previous club was CSKA Moscow, which he left this summer.
The Swede is a bronze medalist at the 2012 Olympic Games and the 2011 European Championships. As part of CSKA, the defender became a four-time champion of Russia and winner of the Euroleague. He also played for Khimki near Moscow and several NBA clubs.
