At the FIBA Americas offices, along with the Brazilian Basketball Confederation and NBB, they confirmed the Rio de Janeiro country teams for the BCLA. They decided that the representatives were SESI Franca, Sao Paulo and Flamengo.

The most important club competition in America will bring together the defending BCLA and Intercontinental Cup champions, SESI Franca, the 2021 winners, Flamengo, and the 2022 winners, Sao Paulo.
The three Brazilian teams will join the teams already arranged by group. These are Quimsa, Obras, Boca Jrs, Hebraica-Macabi and Nacional (Uruguay); Real Estelí (Nicaragua); Falcons of Xalapa (Mexico); Gladiator of Anzoátegui (Venezuela); UdeC (Chile).
Season 5 of the competition will be divided into four groups with three teams in each of them. In the confirmation of the Brazilian teams, they were instructed as follows:
Group A: Real Estelí, Halcones de Xalapa, Gladiators de Anzoátegui. B: Quimsa, São Paulo, National. C: Hebraica Macabi, Flamengo, Boca Jr. D: Franca, Works, UdeC
The BCLA will begin on December 13 with its group stage where all 12 teams will compete. Then there will be quarterfinals with eight qualifiers, matches scheduled for March 2024, the final stage will be in April of the same.
