Mercedes Communications receives Argentino de Junín for the fifth match for the two. It was a victory for the Corrientes team in El Plateado and still left the Junín team without raising its head in the competition.
The Turk continues without a win
The game was mostly dominated by “Comu”, but halfway through the first quarter, Argentino turned things around and took the lead on the scoreboard. Unfortunately for those from Junín, that dominance was short-lived and the Mercedino team once again led the scoreboard and they never let it slip away again.
In the second half, the Turk won the last period and got within five points of the home team, but could not get ahead and lost the match.
The standout on Juan Nardini’s team was Evan Maxwell. The player with the number two on his back led Comu with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist. Another great performance was Marcus Thomas Jr. with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
For Argentino, the standout was Jonathan Slider, he contributed 22 points, 6 rebounds and 1 steal.
What’s next for you two?
Argentino will continue his journey and visit Unión de Santa Fe, both at the bottom of the table and without any success. While Communications will receive San Lorenzo.
