‘The Truth’ reveals what he thinks about the new generation of NBA basketball players by commenting on the injury history of Pelicans’ Zion Williamson
Idol of a generation, Paul Pierce stated that players from NBA It currently takes longer to recover from injury compared to the time when he played in the North American basketball league. The famous ‘The Truth’ made this comment while discussing the injury history of Zion Williamson on his most recent episode of the “Ticket and the Truth” podcast, which he hosts alongside his longtime colleague and Hall of Famer, Kevin Garnett.
“Have you noticed that this new generation is recovering more slowly than us?”, asked the player. However, KG believes that doctors are the reason behind the delay in returning to the court. “The doctor comes in and says, ‘Hey, we just saw a huge hole in your leg. You really can’t walk. I came in here! ‘Hey, we just saw a hole in your leg – you can’t, you can’t put pressure.’ Now, mentally, you start to think about it.”said the star.
Furthermore, Garnett revealed that he has a heart murmur and may not have had a player with this condition if he had listened to doctors’ warnings. “Man, they told me I had a hole in my heart. ‘You can’t play. So, every year, I had to take this exam. If I had believed that, I would have thought, ‘My God, my heart.’ Lord, mentally, man. Do you understand what I’m saying? I don’t want to hear this nonsense. I played 21 years with two heart murmurs.”, he stated. Kevin played for 21 seasons in the NBA before retiring in 2016, while Pierce played for 19.
