Kyiv club announced for the European Cup tournament
Budivelnik recognized his potential rivals in qualifying Champions League.
The Kyiv club got into the fourth basket. In the first qualifying match, Budivelnik’s opponent could be Den Bosch (Netherlands), Leicester (Great Britain), Norrköping (Sweden) or Sves Gmunden (Austria).
The qualification stage is held in the format of four sixes: the teams from the 3rd to the 6th pots play each other, the winners of the quarterfinals play with the clubs of the 1st and 2nd pots.
In June, the Kyiv club applied for participation in the next season of the Basketball Champions League. The Basketball Federation of Ukraine called for Budivelnik to be given a direct ticket to the group round of the Champions League.
Budivelnik was second in the Super League table when the championship was forced to stop in February due to the Russian invasion.
Earlier, FBU Secretary General Volodymyr Drabikovsky said that the new basketball season in Ukraine could start in October in an unusual format.
