Vice President of Sports Operations CSKA Natalia Furaeva said that the Moscow club cannot prevent the transition of the Russian striker Joel Bolomboy in Greek Olympiacos noting that the “red-blues” intend to take legal action because of the violation of the clauses of the contract by the basketball player.
Olympiacos announced the signing of Bolomboy on Wednesday. The basketball player left CSKA at the end of February. In April, the 28-year-old striker published a letter addressed to Furaeva, in which he stated that he was not going to return.
– There are FIBA regulations, according to which absolutely all basketball clubs live. He says if a person does not have a valid contract, he can go to any club. And our agreement with Bolomboy ended this summer.
Naturally, we have claims against him for violation of the previous agreement, and we will defend the rights in court. But we can not prevent his transfer to another club, because the only reason for refusal may be a valid contract. And it ended with us, – said Furaeva RT.
