San Lorenzo crushed Independiente in Pando

El Cuervo welcomes Independiente de Oliva to their stadium to play the eighth game for the two. It was a victory for San Lorenzo, who maintained his streak and climbed to the top of the standings with a six-game winning streak. The I’s have not held their heads high and are on a bad four game losing streak.

Raven doesn’t stop

Leo Costa’s team dominated the entire match without any problems. The locals started to distance themselves from their rivals on the scoreboard with good defenses and amazing runs down the court. With Sebastión Lugo (18 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist) as the main architect and showed how high he is with his dunks. The biggest advantage of the first half was 22 points and they entered halftime with 17 points more than their rivals.

Already in the second half, the visitors tried to recover the deficit. San Lorenzo did not give up and continued to maintain his distance, which at times stretched. The third period was a bit more difficult and Independiente recovered with Salvador Giletto (16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 1 block) as his figure. But González’s team never scored less than ten points. Finally, and with Kevin Hernández (13 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists) as MVP, the Cuervos won by 24 points, the highest disparity of the game.

It should be noted that San Lorenzo climbed to the top of the table with six games won and two lost. Some important things like the victory against Obras as a guest, this was Tachero’s only loss. While Independiente has yet to recover from its bad streak of matches ending in defeat. In total there are six falls this season for those from Oliva.

What’s next for you two?

Independiente has the closest match and that is the one I will return to Gigante de la Ruta 9 to host Gimnasia de Comodoro. Both have to win to narrow the gap between defeat and victory. While San Lorenzo will continue to be local and will have a visit from Ferro Carril Oeste to Roberto Pando. The two teams made up of national players will be looking to extend their winning streak and continue climbing the standings.
