La Fusion welcomes Oberá Tenis Club to the Ciudad Stadium. It was a victory for Quimsa in returning to their stadium in a tight match, where at times they fought from the bottom of the scoreboard. Celeste imposed their game well but could not sustain it in the end and left Santiago with two losses.
The Fusion pushed to the end
The game in Santiago del Estero was very close, the locals were unable to score from the three-point line and the visitors took advantage. Oberá imposed his game and remained on top of the scoreboard in the first half, achieving the maximum advantage of the game with eight points. Demti’s team led by Jerry Evans (21 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block) entered halftime with two more points than the rival.
In the second half, Quimsa led by Juani Brussino (18 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal). They managed to recover and even positioned themselves at this moment above the visitors in goals. Leandro Ramella’s team played well in the final period and Robinson’s late rebound earned him two free throws. That forward traded points and they managed to make a difference of five points where they won.
Quimsa returned to victory on his homecoming after a positive outing on the road. In it he managed to defeat Ferro Carril Oeste, Riachuelo and Gimnsia de Comodoro, but he did not win at poker and fell to the Institute. Ramella’s team won six games and lost only one, clearly they are fighting for the top. While Oberá remains in the middle of the table with four wins and four losses. El Celeste leaves Santiago del Estero with two falls against the defending champion and the leader.
What’s next for you two?
Quimsa is the closest to play and will host Unión de Santa Fe at home, both needing a win. The people from Santiago to continue the fight at the top and Tatengue to get out of the bottom of the table. While Oberá will return to Derna to receive Platense. A good confrontation with a lot at stake for the visitors, who, if they win, will be positioned at the top.
