Having reached 50% of victories, Ginzburg’s team moved up to the playoff zone
Prometheus managed to get a victory over Venice in the match of the eighth round of Group A Eurocup — 89:82
In the first quarter on the Arena Riga court there was an equal fight – the teams took turns taking the lead, and in the end Venice achieved a minimal advantage.
During the second quarter, the basketball players of the Italian club improved. The guests’ advantage reached 10-12 points, but Prometheus managed to reduce the gap by the big break – 40:44.
Gradually, Ronen Ginzburg’s team managed to turn the tide of the game, and in the final quarter they dictated the terms themselves and eventually brought the matter to victory.
Following the results of eight rounds, Prometheus achieved a 50% win rate, beat Venice and rose to sixth place in Group A – that is, into the playoff zone.
On November 25, Ginzburg’s team will meet in the battle of the LEBL leaders with BC Kalev/Cramo, and on the 29th they will go to visit Joventut Badalona in the Eurocup.
