Gymnastics continues at a steady pace away from home

The Patagonia team added a second victory on the route after defeating the busy Riachuelo de La Rioja at the Superdome. Gimnasia, coming off a victory against Independiente de Oliva, suffered more than necessary, and the match seemed to slip away; but with an outstanding Webster, he took the game 82 to 79, on a shot from Maldonado in close that flirted with the rim, but refused to go in.

With tonight’s result, the Patagonians have a record of 50%, with 5 celebrations in 10 games played, placing them in 11th place in the table. The Riojans, for their part, have accumulated three consecutive defeats and, with a record of 2-6, have fallen to sixteenth place.

The figures:

As was the case against Oliva, Joshua Webster once again took the leading role in the closing, with several key shots to lead the scoreboard. The North American finished with 21 points, with an almost perfect score: 4/5 in doubles and 3/4 in triples. Gerard DeVaughn joined him with 20 points and six rebounds while Brandon Nazione completed the trident with 15 points. For the locals, the best came from the hands of Andrés Ibarguen, who achieved a double double with 19 points and 9 rebounds.

What’s next:

Gimnasia will continue the tour and return to Córdoba to face the Instituto this Saturday from 12:10. The match will be televised by TyC Sports. Riachuelo, for its part, will stay in the Superdome and on the same day will receive Argetino de Junín starting at nine o’clock in the evening.
