Kyiv basketball club in the qualifying tournament will meet in Swedish Norrköpping.
Norrköping will face Budivelnik in the first round of qualifying for the Basketball Champions League. This was revealed during the official draw of the tournament.
In case of overcoming the Swedish barrier, the capital team will continue to play against German club Brose Bamberg. If Budivelnik can break this club’s resistance, he will be able to reach the final stage of qualification.
There, the possible opponents of the Kyiv team are Benfica (Portugal) / Keravnos (Cyprus) / Golden Eagle (Kosovo).
To qualify for the Champions League group stage, Budivelnik will have to beat all three opponents. Qualifying matches will be played on September 21, 23 and 25.
Should it ever reach the main stage of the Champions League, Budivelnik will fall to Group F, where Spanish Manresa, VEF (Riga) and French Limoges will be his rivals.
