European Cup qualifying rounds scheduled to start on September 21
Budivelnik in the first round of qualifying for the Basketball Champions League will fight against the Swedish Norrköping.
If the Kyiv team wins, then they will have to play against the German club Bamberg.
In the final round of selection, Budivelnik’s possible rival will be one of the trio: Benfica (Portugal), Keravnos (Cyprus), Golden Eagle (Kosovo).
To qualify for the Champions League regular season, Budivelnik needs to win all three qualifying matches. The winners of the selection will join the 28 teams that directly qualified for the Champions League.
Budivelnik was second in the Super League table when the championship was forced to stop in February due to the Russian invasion.
Earlier, FBU Secretary General Volodymyr Drabikovsky said that the new basketball season in Ukraine could start in October in an unusual format.
