Leader of the Ukrainian national basketball team Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk spoke about the reasons for the absence of the team Alexey Lenwho plays in the NBA. According to him, the Sacramento center was unable to come to the national team due to health problems.
“He could not come for health reasons – he has some back problems. I think if everything was in order with him, he would also be in the national team. He should come to the Ukrainian national team for EuroBasket 2022,” Mykhailyuk said.
Recall that Mikhailyuk joined the Ukrainian national team at the end of June. He helped the Blue-Yellows beat Georgia and North Macedonia in qualifying for the 2023 World Cup.
Today the Ukrainian national team will play against Spain in the qualifying group G. The match will take place at the Arena Riga, the meeting will start at 19:00 Kyiv time.
