Ginzburg’s team had an advantage in the first half of the meeting, but failed to develop it
Prometheus lost dramatically to the Spanish Joventut Badalona in the match of the 9th round of Group A Eurocup — 76:79.
The Ukrainian club spent the first quarter extremely confidently on the opponent’s court and won it with an 11-point advantage. During the second game, the guests increased their advantage to +15, but were unable to develop their advantage. The teams went to the big break with the score 33:41.
Immediately after this, Badalone managed to improve. During the third quarter, the hosts took the lead, and until the very end of the meeting there was a seesaw on the field with alternating minimal advantages of one of the sides.
The hosts had a stronger finish at the end and snatched a much-needed victory from a tournament point of view.
Thus, Prometheus finished the first round in eighth place, outside the playoff zone. Ginzburg’s team, like Joventut Badalona, has four wins in nine fights. In the next round, Prometheus will play on December 5 against Hamburg.
