National League: Independiente beat Comunicaciones

The Córdoba team suffered more than necessary, but beat Comunicaciones at home.

At Gigante de la Ruta Nueve, Independiente de Oliva bid farewell to a string of falls in the National League. The Córdoba team, which came with five consecutive defeats, beat Comunicaciones de Mercedes well. And the ghosts returned to roam the blue night, which they had seen; with my heart on my sleeve, which happened with Santiago Assum’s last shot, which flirted with the rim, but failed to enter.

In the final 88 to 85, Independiente can breathe a little. The men led by Martín González reached a record three wins and seven losses in the National League season. This record puts them in 16th place, a moment away from the lowest part of the table, where Argentino, Unión de Santa Fe and Peñarol de Mar del Plata are now. Communications, for its part, has accumulated five games without a win. With a record of 4 wins and 7 losses, they are in fourteenth place.

The figures:

Four players finished in double figures for the home team. Jorge Banegas stood up with 20 points, with 5/8 from 6.75m. He was followed by Agustín Pautasso with 19 points, who also contributed 5 rebounds. Nicolás Marcucci completed the most outstanding offensive trident with 12. It is worth mentioning that Independiente finished with an amazing 46% effectiveness from the perimeter, with 13/28 in the area. During the visit, Santiago Assum stood out, author of 19 points.

What’s next:

Independiente will continue to play at home for its next performance. On Friday, December 1, they will play against Peñarol de Mar del Plata, who are going through a bad moment in the National League season. Comunicaciones, for its part, will return home to welcome Ferrocarril Oeste this Sunday, in what will mean the first game outside Buenos Aires province for Caballito’s team.
