Bryant’s gear from his final NBA road game sold at auction for nearly $500,000

Uniform and sneakers of the five-time American NBA champion Kobe Bryant from his last away league match sold for $485,000, according to auction site SCP Auctions.

The number 24 shorts and jersey that Bryant wore on April 11, 2016 against the Oklahoma City Thunder (79:112) were sold at auction for $366,900. The basketball player’s sneakers were sold for 118 thousand. The identity of the buyers is not disclosed.

Bryant spent 18 minutes, 57 seconds on the court in this game, scored 13 points and had one rebound. On April 13, the guard scored 60 points in a home game against the Utah Jazz (101:96), which became his last in his career.

Bryant played his entire career for the Lakers, winning the championship five times with the team. It has also won Olympic gold twice and won the 2018 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. In January 2020, a 41-year-old basketball player, his daughter and seven others died in a helicopter crash.
