Rookie drafted by the Houston Rockets had been injured in the fourth game of the current NBA season, more than a month away from the court
After spending more than a month off the court due to a grade 2 sprain on his left ankle, the rookie Amen Thompson is beginning his process of returning to basketball for Houston Rockets. Selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2023 Draft by the Texans, the player is beginning his return with a stint with the Texans’ affiliate G LeagueO Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
Houston announced the sending of the player to the lower league this past Tuesday morning, the 5th, along with the other rookie, Cam Whitmore. The shooting guard has gradually increased his physical training in recent days, making him Ime Udokacoach of the Rockets, indicated participation in the G League as part of the recovery process.
For Amen Thompson and the others, playing time in the league could start as early as this Wednesday, 6th, when the team faces the Oklahoma City. Once fully cleared, the shooting guard could help the Rockets fill some of their backup point guard’s minutes. Fred VanVleet.
