This is only the 10th such incident in league history.

Note that to sign such an agreement, a basketball player must spend 8 seasons in the NBA, and at the same time 4 seasons in the team with which this contract is signed.

Under the new deal, Bradley Beal will earn $251 million over 5 years. Additionally, the fifth season includes a player option and a 15% trading bonus.

In 40 games with the Wizards last season, Bradley Beal averaged 23.2 points, 6.6 assists and 0.9 steals per game.
