Head coach of Samara Drazen Anzulovic believes that the team lost to Zenit in the VTB United League away match due to defensive play and poor physical preparation.
THURSDAY “Zenith” defeated “Samaru” during a VTB United League home match (96:58).
“We couldn’t show teamwork and chemistry like we did when we won. The team was not ready to work fully on defense. You can only win against an opponent like Zenit through good defensive play. we had 3 games in 5 five. Many players are sick and have fevers. We flew to Krasnoyarsk, where it was very cold, with basically five players. They asked for the match to be postponed. The Covid tests were negative, but apparently there was a virus in the team,” Anzulovich was quoted as saying by correspondent.
