NBA: Kyle Lowry defines which team he wants to retire from: “As an athlete from…”

Currently a point guard for the Miami Heat, Kyle Lowry makes it clear that he wants to return to the team that put the player on the list of NBA champions

Currently shipowner of Miami Heat, Kyle Lowryrevealed this last Wednesday, 6th, that he dreams of ending his career as a player for Toronto Raptors. The number 7 of the franchise Florida was part of the Canadian team that won the NBA in 2019, being one of the main pieces for the team’s unprecedented title.

“Not this year. I will definitely retire as a Raptor. That’s something I’ve been saying since I left here. I will sign a one-day contract and retire as a Toronto Raptors athlete. This is how it will be. Unless I die before then.”revealed the point guard, in an interview before the Heat’s victory over the Raptors, on Scotiabank Arenain Toronto.

Lowry wore the franchise’s jersey Canada for the first time after it was exchanged for Houston Rockets in 2012, leaving in a sign-and-trade with the Heat in 2021. During his years with the franchise, the number 7 was one of the main pieces of the 2019 championship, won 4-2 against the powerful Golden State Warriors. In the NBA, his first team was the Memphis Grizzliesin 2006, and is in his last year with the Miami.
