NBA: Zach LaVine opens up about playing in Chicago: “All my heart…”

Chicago Bulls winger Zach LaVine has been named as one of the main names for a trade for the multi-champion NBA franchise

The winger Zach LaVine has been identified as one of the most likely names to be involved in the exchange market this season NBA. However, the player Chicago Bulls said he will give his all while wearing the jersey of the multi-champion franchise Illinois.

“Am I still part of this team and committed? Yes. I wear the Bulls jersey. I’m committed here. As long as I’m here I’ll be supporting and loving Chicago, playing my heart out for these guys. This will never change”stated the winger, during a press conference this last Thursday, 7. According to the journalist KC Johnsonfrom “NBC Sports Chicago”, LaVine is aware that the team is in the market listening to offers for him, as well as being tired of debating his abilities as a leader on the court.

“My pre-season didn’t leave them aside. I committed to the Bulls when I signed the five-year contract. So until that changes, I’ll be committed here. I always bring professionalism and consistency and will continue to do so”, continued the player. The Bulls started the season with a poor record of 8-14, putting the franchise’s front office in check and demanding that they seek to involve the team’s main players in negotiations.

Thus, LaVine’s three-year, $138 million contract appears to be a priority to be involved in negotiations in case of advantageous proposals. Regarding assumptions, the winger has averaged 24.4 points and 38.3% since arriving on the team. But, in the only season that reached the playoffs since 2017, the team ended up eliminated for the Milwaukee Bucksin the first round, with a sweep in the 2021/22 season.

According to the journalist Darnell Mayberry, from “The Athletic”, the Bulls have been having difficulty getting advantageous offers for LaVine. The main reason is that the other franchises know how the team Chicago is moving to exchange the athlete, potentially forcing them to accept a much less valuable negotiation. The NBA trade deadline ends on February 8th and only then will we know the winger’s future.
