The Santa Fe team had a solid game and got the victory over Mercedes, against a team that couldn’t find answers.
The Tatengue added his second victory in the competition by beating Comunicaciones in Mercedes 78 to 71. Meanwhile, the local team, reached his seventh consecutive fall. With this result, those from Santa Fe broke the negative streak and reached a 2-9 record, 18th in the table. Their rivals could not overcome the bad moment and, with a record of 4-9, they fell to sixteenth place.
At the beginning of the game both teams were erratic. When he was able to run across the field, Unión moved to the front. Comu tried to take advantage of Maxwell in the paint, but the American’s percentage was very low. Nardini looked for answers in substitutes, but Tatengue continued to punish in the paint. Thomas and Montes contributed to the spot that he couldn’t find his way back to Alessio’s defense.

At the start of the second half, Deshields’ effectiveness emerged in place of which, in return, he couldn’t control Alessio in the paint. So the visit achieved the maximum (10 points) with 6:19 left. A triple by Montes and a single seemed to give him the wind for the home team’s comeback; but Montes’ hand continued to burn and some quick moves brought Comu back into the game. With 2:04 remaining, the visitors won 53 to 49. Alessio (21 for now) reappeared in the paint and Unión regained an advantage which was reduced at the end by a triple by Deshields that sealed the final score of 55-57 in the third quarter.
