D’Angelo Russellof Los Angeles Lakersprovoked bruce brownof Indiana Pacersafter the final of the first NBA Cup. The California team prevailed by a score of 123 to 109 at the T-Mobile Arena and won the unprecedented title in a single-game decision. Both teams rank 5th in their respective conferences in the league.

The Lakers point guard remembered the last elimination for the Denver Nuggets at a time when the Colorado team had Brown on the roster. “He was talking shit all year. Yes, all year round. For me, it was just a chance to show my game. Now, I have nothing to say to him.”said in an interview with the “Los Angeles Times”.

“I’m a fan of his, to be honest. This is all just on the court. Got something to say? Show me on the court. [Nikola] Jokic is not by your side today. So, it’s different”. In the last meeting between the players, the Pacers shooting guard received two quick fouls when trying to score the LA Lakers opponent.

Despite winning the NBA Cup undefeated, Russell highlighted: “Losing throughout the year to good teams is what gets you ready. So, if we beat teams that don’t cause problems during the game, we don’t improve. We need adversity. We are a good team, but we need these challenges to improve throughout the season.”
