The capital club recently withdrew from the FAVBET Super League competition
Prometheus announced the signing of a center Maxima Sandula. The player will play for the Ukrainian team, which plays in the Major League of Ukraine.
The 32-year-old Sandul’s career includes BC Kiev, Spanish Manresa, Twarde Perniki (Poland), as well as the capital Kiev-Basket, Zaporozhye, Ternopil and Budivelnik, with whom the player became the champion of Ukraine last season and received the title of the best center in the country’s championship.
Note that Sandul became the MVP of last week in the FAVBET Super League. With his participation, the capital club achieved three victories – over Dnepr, Zaporozhye and Krivbass. Sandul himself recorded double-doubles in each match (10 + 13 rebounds, 10 + 12 rebounds and 12 + 15 rebounds, respectively).
On December 9, Budivelnik sent a letter to the FBU about his withdrawal from the FAVBET-2023/24 Super League championship. Kiev residents reported a loss of sponsorship and lack of funding. The team was forced to withdraw so as not to increase debts to the players and the club administration.
The Ukrainian team of Prometheus leads the country’s Major League with 14 victories. The Slobozhansky club also plays in the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League (second place in the standings) and the Eurocup.
