The favorite won a confident victory and secured third place
Cherkasy Mavpy opened the capital’s bubble Superleague FAVBET-2023/24 confident victory over Old Lutsk – 75:63.
One of the championship leaders started the match according to his status as a favorite – the advantage at the end of the first quarter was confident. However, the Lutsk team managed to return to the game – during the second segment the gap was even reduced to a minimum, but still, by the big break, the Mavpas retained a small handicap.
In the third quarter, Artem Slipenchuk’s team simply left no chance for the opponent, bringing the advantage to 20+ points. All that Old Lutsk managed to do was narrow the gap a little and avoid defeat.
Thanks to this victory, Mavpy secured third place, slightly behind BC Rivne. Old Lutsk, which has won only five times in 13 matches, is third from last.
Tomorrow, December 18, Cherkasy Mavpy will play with Kyiv-Basket, and Stary Lutsk will face BIPA.
